Longest few weeks EVER!

I'm FINALLY getting around to blog! What a crazy few weeks! Turns out that running multiple businesses from home can get a little hectic....

When my daughter was born at the end of May, 2009, I was supposed to have the summer with her and then go back to teaching mid-August. Yeah, I knew right away I was so not going to be able to go back to the classroom full time! So my wonderful husband looked at the budget and made enough cuts that allowed me to stay home with the baby. I was going to have to bring a little money in so I started looking at options. I started selling more with Sweet P's, subbing, and teaching private art lessons.
Now, nearly 2 years later (already?!?!), Sweet P's sales are picking up a bit, though not consistent month to month, subbing is pretty good, and my art classes for this quarter have fallen through.
Around the same time I realized that my art classes were going to be a no go for the quarter, a friend of mine approached me about getting into direct sales. I know, direct sales? No thanks! But I met with her anyways and turns out, she's a pretty good little sales person! I got sucked in... and I'm now a Willow House Design Consultant:) And I have to admit, this is what pushed me over the edge!

I saw the Vintage Spiral Stand in the catalog - all dressed up for a little girls party - and I really wanted it to decorate Isabella's 2nd birthday party. And there is no WAY my husband was going to let me pay full price for it! We're really not a pay full price kind of couple :)
So I've survived my launch party, booked a few parties and I think I can do this! It's going to take a little doing to organized my schedule to fit Willow House and Sweet P's and being a full time mommy but it will work because I'm going to make it work! :) The condition Eric put on me doing Willow House was that I wouldn't give up on Sweet P's because I love it so much. And I'm not! It's been hard and frustrating because I'm not the best at the marketing portion of running a business but I have a few ideas for getting our name out and I'm nearly finished with Spring designs!
So I'm really don't have time to blog for 2 different business ventures but I do have a website and facebook page for Willow House that you can check out here. If you ever want to shop online or if you want to book a party, just let me know! And be sure to check out the outlet and weekly deals!
